New twist on the thumbprint cookies. These are good using various kinds of jam or jelly and different chopped nuts, or coconut.

Ingredients For orange holiday cookies

  • 18 oz
    pkg. orange or yellow cake mix
  • 3 Tbsp
    orange juice
  • 2 tsp
    grated orange peel
  • 1/2 tsp
    orange extract
  • 1 lg
    egg, beaten
  • 2 c
    thawed whipped topping
  • orange marmalade
  • powdered sugar

How To Make orange holiday cookies

  • 1
    Combine cake mix, orange peel, egg,extract, and mix well. Mix in whipped topping. Form dough into walnut sized balls and roll in powdered sugar, shake off excess and place on lightly sprayed cookie sheet. Press down in center with the back of the 1/4 teaspoon measuring spoon. Fill center with marmalade. Bake at 350^ for 8-10 minutes.
