I will be honest the first time I made this I did think it was a cookie & I did it wrong. It did taste good & my brother Arron who just got back home from a tour in Paris told me "you could call it a cookie Kit if you want, I don't care as long as I can have another one." LOL Gotta love family....

Ingredients For nana raisin scones

  • 1/2 c
    raisins
  • 2 Tbsp
    hot water
  • 2-1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 6 Tbsp
    butter, cold
  • 1-1/2 c
    banana nut whole grain cereal flakes
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 jar
    vanilla low-fat yogurt

How To Make nana raisin scones

    Firt preheat the oven to 425F. Mix the raisins & water in a small bowl. Then set aside. Then mix the flour, sugar,baking powder & baking soda in a large bowl. Then cut in the butter with a fork or pastry cutter until mixture looks like coarse crumbs. Then stir in the cereal. beat the egg in a small bowl well, then stir in the yogurt,raisins & their liquid. Then add in the flour mixture & mix until forms soft dough.

    Next drop the dough by 1/4 cupfuls about 2 inches apart onto a greased cookie sheets.

    Then abke for about 10 mins or until lightly browned. And then serve warm.
