You know when you go to the movies and you want to eat all that "stuff" they sell at the concession stand because it all looks so good! Well, here is a cookie that allows you to have everything you want in a creamy dreamy mouthful. Chocolaty, crunchy, creamy and ooey gooey with malted milk balls, raisinets, peanuts, marshmallows, and more chocolate! Surprisingly they are not "over the top" cloyingly sweet but just rich with chocolate goodness. This is a good base recipe that you can modify to top off with your own favorite movie snacks. Let me know how you change it for your own taste!

How to Make Movie Madness Munchies

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter or spray the sides and bottom of a 9 x 13 inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, stir together the graham cracker crumbs and brown sugar. Add the butter. Combine the mixture and turn it out into the prepared pan. Press it evenly on the bottom and up the sides.
  3. Bake the crust for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown. Remove the pan from the oven and let it cool.
  4. In a large heatproof bowl, toss the peanut butter and chocolate morsels with the bittersweet chocolate. Drizzle the corn syrup and vanilla over the chocolates and set aside.
  5. Top the graham cracker crust with the marshmallows, peanuts, raisinets, and malted milk balls.
  6. In a medium sauce pan, bring the cream just to boil. Remove from the heat and pour over the chocolates in the bowl. Let stand for 2 to 3 minutes. Mix the cream and chocolate together until smooth. Pour the mixture over the toppings in the pan.
  7. Refrigerate for about 3 hours or until chocolate is set. Cut into squares and serve. Pop your favorite movie into the DVD player and sit back and enjoy!
