1 cbutter, softened
1/2 cpowedered sugar
1 1/2 tspvanilla extract
2 call purpose flour
1 cold fashioned rolled oats (quaker oatmeal, not instant)
How to Make Mexican Wedding Cookies
- In a large bowl beat butter until creamy. Gradually beat in powdered sugar, then salt, vanilla, flour, and salt. When blended and smooth stir in oats. shape dough into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets, about 2 inches apart. you can also flatten by pressing with fingers. bake 18-22 minutes or until golden brown. while still warm roll in powdered sugar. cool on wire rack. makes 2 1/2 to 3 dozen cookies.
