This recipe is from 1974. This recipe was one I posted in my second cookbook, when my children were small- they loved these cookies, at Christmas-time I would use red and green cherries and candied pineapple instead of the gumdrops.They liked the gumdrop ones the best. After awhile,I got the idea to make gum drop bars- they liked those too- the recipe is posted too!

Ingredients For gum drop cookie slices

1 1/2 cmelted ,crisco buttery flavor,margarine or butter

1 cbrown sugar

1 cgranulated sugar

3 lgeggs, beaten
-
5 call purpose flour
-
1 tspeach- soda, cinnamon, salt

1/2 lbspice flavored gum drops, cut in half
How To Make gum drop cookie slices

1Mix ingredients in order given. Shape into long roll,wrap in plastic wrap and chill overnight in refrigerator. Slice 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick, and bake in preheated 400^ oven for 10-15 minutes. - Last Step: Don't forget to share!
