Ingredients For fudgey peanut butter bars

  • baking spray
  • 1 pkg
    18 3/4 oz. pkg. browning mix (ghirardelli, etc)
  • 1 pkg
    10 oz. pkg. peanut butter chips (1 3/4 cups)
  • 1 can
    14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 c
    creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 c
    semisweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 c
    heavy cream
  • 1/2 c
    roasted salted peanuts, chopped

How To Make fudgey peanut butter bars

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 13 x 9 inch baking pan with cooking spray and dust with flour.

    Prepare brownie mix according to package instructions in prepared pan and bake approximately 35 minutes or until a toothpick, inserted in the middle, comes out clean. Cool approx. 1 hour.

    Place peanut butter chips, sweetened condensed milk, peanut butter, vanilla, and salt in a medium microwavable bowl. Microwave on high 1 minute. Stir well until smooth. Spoon this mixture over cooled brownies and spread out in an even layer.

    Place chocolate chips and cream in a small microwavable bowl and heat on high until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth - 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Pour mixture over peanut butter layer spreading in an even layer. Refrigerate brownies until top chocolate layer is firm - 1 hour. Sprinkle with peanuts and slice into 32 bars.
