  • 1 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c
    butter (or margarine), plus extra for cookie sheet

    squares (1 ounce) unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 11/2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1/2 c
    chopped walnuts, i have used pecans and almonds also

How to Make Chocolate Sour Cream Cookies


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    Blend sugar and butter (or margarine) until fluffy. Add egg. Add melted chocolate, vanilla, and sour cream. Blend until creamy, and set aside.
  2. Sift baking soda and salt into flour. Slowly add flour mixture to sour-cream mixture and blend. Add in nuts. Drop by spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet and bake 10 minutes.

    Let cool a couple of minutes; then remove from the cookie sheet to a wire rack.
