I've never liked oatmeal cookies until my husband's Aunt Judie made these. They are soft, and so full of flavor that I forget there is even oatmeal in them!!
Aunt Judie passed away in 2010. Every time I make these I think of her. She was a great lady and a great cook. I was lucky enough to know her and even luckier that she passed on some of her wonderful recipes to me. Her humor and warmth are greatly missed.
