This is one of my Grandma Rose's frostings ..very creamy and delicious.

Ingredients For fudge icing

  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    karo syrup
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1/2 c
    shortening
  • 2
    unsweetened chocolate squares
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    vanilla extract

How To Make fudge icing

  • 1
    Add all the ingredients ,( EXEPT the vanilla ) in a medium saucepan.

    Stir over medium -low heat until melted ; Stir constantly until full boil ; boil for EXACTLY 1 minute.

    Remove from heat and beat gently until lukewarm ; Add the vanilla ; Continue beating until smooth and is a consistancy to spread.
