Ingredients For hot chocolate

  • 1 c
    lowfat milk
  • 1
    cinnamon stick
  • 2 tsp
    cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 2 tsp
    water
  • 1/4 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • OPTIONAL INGREDIENT
  • dark chocolate as a garnish

How To Make hot chocolate

  • 1
    Heat the milk and the cimmamon stick until just simmering.
  • 2
    In a mug, combine the cocoa powder, sugar and water. Stir to make a paste.

    Remove the cinnamon stick from the milk.
  • 4
    Pour the milk into the mug and stir to mix well.
  • 5
    Add the vanilla extract and stir.
  • 6
    Grate a little dark chocolate on top for garnish.
