I remembered a favorite dessert from elementary school and searched the Internet until I found similar recipes. This is my compilation of what I found. I find it very near what I was remembering.

Ingredients For cornflake clusters

  • 1 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1 c
    corn syrup, light
  • 1/8 c
    honey
  • 1 1/2 c
    peanut butter
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 4 - 5 c
    cornflakes

How To Make cornflake clusters

  • 1
    Place sugar, corn syrup, and honey in saucepan over medium high heat. Bring to a boil while constantly stirring. Remove from heat after one minute boiling.

    Stir in peanut butter, butter, and vanilla extract. Return to heat and stir constantly while bringing back to a boil. Watch closely as it soon begins to stick and scorch.

    After the mixture comes to a full boil, pour over cornflakes and mix well.

    Drop by hefty spoonfuls onto foil lined pans and allow to cool completely. ENJOY! !
