A no egg cake.This cake is so good and moist. Thought maybe someone out there would like to give it as a gift. They can bake and enjoy this wonderful cake when they have a taste for it. I have been told it is called a Crazy Cake because of the unusual direction of the 3 indentations in mixed dry ingredients in the cake pan. Then the oil, vinegar and water with vanilla is added to the indentations. Then mixed in with a fork in the pan! You get a better mixture if you mix it all in a bowl. Any way that's what I do. How ever you want to do it, it will still taste the same.....

1quart wide mouth jar

2 cflour

2/3 ccocoa

3/4 tspsalt

1-1/2 tspbaking powder

1-1/3 csugar

3/4 cvegetable oil

2 tspwhite vinegar

1 tspvanilla

1 cwater

1Layer in order, the first 5 ingredients into a clean and sterilized mason jar. Secure with a sterilized lid. Decorate with a beautiful ribbon. Tape the following directions to the side of the jar.

2To bake: In a large bowl, use the contents of jar, with the last four ingredients. Mix together using a wire whisk. Making sure all ingredients are completely mixed together. grease and floured 9x9 cake pan . Bake in a 350 for 35 minutes. When cool sprinkle powdered sugar on top. This cake is so good and moist frosting is not needed. Note: Some people call it a Depression Cake..because of no eggs.
