  • ·
    1 cup cinnamon graham cracker crumbs.
  • ·
    1/2 cup brown sugar packed.
  • ·
    1/2 cup chopped nuts.
  • ·
    1/2 cup melted butter or margarine.
  • ·
    1/2 cup water.
  • CAKE

  • ·
    1 18 oz box yellow cake mix.
  • ·
    1/2 cup water
  • ·
    1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • ·
    1/3 cup oil
  • ·
    3 eggs
  • ·
    2 tbs. orange zest
  • ·
    1 can cream cheese frosting

How to Make Orange Crush Cake


  1. In a 2 quart bowl, combine ingredients for the crunchy layer and mix well until crumbly.
    Divide in half.
  2. press half of crumbly into 2, 9 inch round cake pans.
  3. In a 3 quart bowl use mixer at low speed to blend cake ingredients until moistened.
    Beat at high speed for 2 minutes.
  4. Pour batter evenly over layers of crunchy mixture.
    Bake by instructions on box cake mix.
  5. Cool 10 minutes.
    Remove from pans.
  6. Mix frosting ingredients into a small bowl.
    Place layer of cake, crunchy side up on a serving plate and spread with 1/4 of the frosting.
  7. Top with the other layer also crunchy side up.
    Spread top and sides with rest of frosting.
