Ingredients For mckenzie's buttermilk drop donuts

  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/4 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbsp
    melted butter
  • 1/2 c
    dairy buttermilk
  • canola oil for frying

How To Make mckenzie's buttermilk drop donuts

    Whisk together the first 6 ingredients in a medium bowl.

    Add remaining ingredients to the dry and stir just until moistened well.

    Drop by spoonful in a steady 350^ temperature pan of canola oil. Fry until golden. Remove and drain on paper toweling.

    Dip in powdered sugar glaze or shake in a cinnamon/sugar mixture;or just eat them plain.
