This recipe will make you slap the dog and spit on the fire. When I make these, they don't last an hour in my house. Family and friends eat them right up and don't even leave a crumb. I am always having people request these naughty, sweet, just too good not to share bars. ENJOY!!!

Ingredients For kentucky chess bars

  • 3 lg
    eggs, divied
  • 1 pkg
    yellow butter cake mix
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 1 pkg
    cream cheese (8 oz)
  • 1 pkg
    confectioners' sugar (powdered sugar) (16 oz)

How To Make kentucky chess bars

  • Egg, butter, and cake mix formed into dough and pressed into baking sheet.

    Mix 1 egg into the cake mix. Melt butter and add to egg/cake mixture. Stir until becomes a ball. Pat into greased 12x15 flat pan.
  • Cream cheese, eggs, and confectioners' sugar in a bowl.

    Take 8 oz. cream cheese and beat with a mixer until smooth. Add 2 eggs and 1 box of confectioners' sugar. Mix until smooth.
  • Batter poured over cake dough and baking in the oven.

    Pour on top of the cake mixture. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until light golden brown in color. Bake at 350 degrees. Cool completely before cutting.
