devils food cake mix
2 tsp
ground ancho chile pepper
1/4 tsp
cayenne pepper
1 1/4 c
water
1/3 c
vegetable oil
3 large
eggs

CHILE CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

2 tsp
ground ancho chile pepper
1/8 tsp
cayenne pepper
1 tsp
cinnamon
16 oz
powdered sugar
8 oz
cream cheese softened
1 stick
butter softened
1 tsp
vanilla
heavy cream just for consistency

fresh birds eye chilies for garnish

How to Make Chile Chocolate Cupcakes w Chile Cream Frosting

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven 350 degrees. Line two 12 cup cupcake pans with paper.
  • 2Mix the box of devils food cake with all the ingredients for the cake. Pour into the prepared cups and bake for 18 to 20 minutes.Let cool completely.
  • 3For the frosting.
    Mix all the ingredients with an electric mixer except the heavy cream and fresh chilies. Add heavy cream to make it the right consistency. Top the cupcakes with the frosting and garnish with 1 chile.
