Ingredients

1 Lb. Lean ground beef
1 sm. onion (chopped)
2 tsp. Chili powder
1/2 tsp. Ground red pepper
1/4 tsp. Ground allspice
1/4 tsp. Ground cinnamon
1 Tbsp. Unsweetened cocoa
28 oz. Crushed tomatoes
6 oz. Tomato paste
1/4 C. Water
1 Tbsp. Sugar
1/2 tsp. Salt

Step-By-Step

1In a large saucepan, over medium heat, brown beef with onion for 6 to 8 minutes, or until no pink remains in meat. Drain excess liquid then return saucepan with meat mixture back to stove and add remaining ingredients; mix well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
