“GO TO” Granola
6 cold fashioned rolled oats
4 Tbspbrown sugar
1/2 tspkosher salt
1 cunsalted sunflower seeds
1 cunsalted pumpkin seeds
1 1/2 csweetened flaked coconut
3/4 cmelted butter
How to Make “GO TO” Granola
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Prepare two large cookie sheets with parchment paper.
Mix together the first six ingredients in a large bowl.
- Melt butter and add cinnamon, vanilla and honey and mix well.
- Add butter mixture to dry ingredients and mix, mix, mix.
- Spread mixture unto parchment paper evenly. It should be about an inch thick. Bake in 10 minute increments stirring well after each baking. It usually takes three-10 minute sessions. This can vary depending on the type of pan you use, so you have to keep a close eye on it so it doesn’t get too dark. After it’s cooled place in an airtight container. I don’t know how long it can keep because ours has never lasted longer than a week.
