This ingenious idea was the only hash recipe sent to the Wisconsin DNR when preparing the recipe booklet (A Fine Kettle Of Fish). You'll like it I'm sure

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound fish fillets
  • 1 large potato
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon butter (or margarine)
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make fish hash

  • Step 1
    Boil fish and potatoes separately until done. Process potato, onion, and fish through a food grinder at medium speed setting
  • Step 2
    Add paprika, salt and pepper. Mix well. Put butter (or margarine) in frying pan on medium heat. Brown hash on both sides.
