Packed with superfood ingredients, this is a fabulous way to start your day with this healthy Breakfast Quinoa Cereal with Mixed Berries!

Ingredients For breakfast quinoa cereal with mixed berries

  • 1 c
    quinoa, rinsed and drained
  • 2 c
    milk (mix with about 2/3 cup evaporated milk)
  • 1 md
    cinnamon stick
  • 1 pinch
    fleur de sel (substitute with ground himalayan sea salt)
  • 1 Tbsp
    dried raisins
  • 1 Tbsp
    dried cranberries
  • 1 Tbsp
    dried blueberries
  • 1 Tbsp
    dried goji berries
  • 1/4 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    chopped walnuts (optional)
  • maple syrup, milk, sliced bananas, chopped apples - what ever you like to top your cereal with

How To Make breakfast quinoa cereal with mixed berries

    In a sieve, rinse quinoa thoroughly and then place sieve over a bowl and soak quinoa for 15 minutes; drained well for 15 minutes.

    In a medium saucepan, add milk and evaporated milk if there’s leftover in your fridge otherwise just milk is fine. Add cinnamon stick, fleur de sel, raisins, cranberries, blueberries and goji berries; stir. Add drained quinoa, stir and bring to a boil. Add vanilla extract, stir to combine, cover and reduce heat to medium-low. Let simmer until liquid is absorb and quinoa is tender, about 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    When it’s done, discard cinnamon stick and serve immediately. Garnish with walnut, maple syrup and milk
