Betty's egg free French toast
2 Tbspcorn flour/ corn starch
1 cmilk - dairy, soy, almond, rice all work
4thick slices of day old bread
2 tspbutter (or dairy free option), for frying
·maple syrup to serve
How to Make Betty's egg free French toast
- In a large flat bowl, such as a pasta plate combine the flour and milk and mix well.
- Heat the butter in a frying pan (mine's non stick) over a medium heat.
- Dip each slice of bread into the wet mix, being sure to stir it again first as the flour sinks.
- Fry the sodden bread on each side for 60 - 90 seconds. Plate up and serve with maple syrup.
