Ingredients For hash-brown quiche.

  • 8 sm
    potatos,pre-baked and cubed
  • 1/3 c
    butter, melted
  • 1 lb
    ground sausage (i use italian)
  • 4
    stripes of bacon (cooked and diced)
  • 1/3 c
    chopped onion
  • 1/2 c
    milk (or half & half)
  • 4
    beaten eggs
  • 1 pkg
    button mushroom cut up.
  • 2 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 1/2 lb
    velveeta cheese,cubed.
  • 1 tsp
    white worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • hot sauce to taste.

How To Make hash-brown quiche.

    you will need a 12inch dutch oven,and a large cast iron skillet. line dutch oven with quick-release aluminum foil. press potato cubes into the bottomof the dutch oven (i use a cast iron dutch oven) to make a crust. use your fingers to push some of the potatos on to the sides,(it does not have to be smoth).brush with melted butter. bake for 10-15 min on medium fire.

    for filling. in a large cast iron skillet brown sauage and onion. add mush rooms,bacon,and i add diced green bell peppers.

    combine milk eggs and cornstarch in a mixing bowl. add cheese,salt & pepper, worcestershire,and hot sause. mix well.pouregg,and meat mixture into potato crust, bake at 350 for 20 min,. remove from fire. add coals to top of lid. continue baking untill eggs are completly set.

    oven directions: bake crust at 350 for 10 min,.fowllo directions above for quich and bake for 30-35 min at350 till eggs are set.
