Nothing new, but so easy to throw together for those of us with a deep love of bagels

serves 1 or 2

method Microwave


  •   1
    egg per bagel half
  •   1 slice
    your favorite cheese
  •   1
    bagel sliced in half
  •   1 Tbsp
    butter or good quality margarine
    fresh ground pepper, sea salt to taste
  •   1/2 tsp
    canola oil for use in bowl under bagel

How To Make

    slice bagel and butter, place in microwave safe bowl with canola oil smeared inside.
  • 2
    chunk up cheese slice and arrange on buttered bagel.
  • 3
    crack one large egg over bagel and cheese, break yolk. Salt and pepper to taste.

    Microwave approximately 1 minute on high, let rest for one minute and serve in same bowl.
