Ingredients

  • TOAST:

  • 1
    loaf french bread, sliced
  • 6 large
    eggs
  • 1 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 1/2 c
    half and half
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp
    nutmeg
  • TOPPING:

  • 1 c
    brown sugar, packed
  • 1 c
    pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 Tbsp
    maple syrup

How to Make Overnight French Toast

Step-by-Step

  1. For the toast: Arrange bread in a lightly greased 13x9 inch baking dish and set aside.
  2. Beat remaining ingredients together; pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  3. The next morning, combine topping ingredients and spread over bread.
  4. Bake for 45-55 minutes at 350 degrees. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
