This is a wonderful comfort treat! I live in Maine and have plenty of cold winter nights to try out lots of baked goodies...we substitute with blueberry and find it is just as yummy. Enjoy :)

Ingredients For old fashioned cherry cobbler

  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/3 c
    sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    baking powder
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter or margarine, softened
  • 2/3 c
    undiluted evaporated milk
  • 1 3/4 c
    cherry pie filling

How To Make old fashioned cherry cobbler

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, butter and evaporated milk; mix well. Spread batter into a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Spread cherry pie filling over the batter. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
