Ingredients For irish soda bread

  • DRY INGREDIENTS
  • 3 1/2 c
    flour, sifted
  • 2/3 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    baking soda
  • 1 1/2 c
    raisins, seedless
  • 1 Tbsp
    caraway seeds
  • WET INGREDIENTS
  • 2
    eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 c
    buttermilk
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, melted

How To Make irish soda bread

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    Mix all dry ingredients together.

    Lightly beat eggs in separate bowl.

    Melt butter in separate bowl.
  • 5
    Combine wet ingredients and mix together.
  • 6
    Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix until moist.

    Shape into round loaves. Cut cross in top of each. Bake for one hour.
