This is the cornbread recipe we use when we make Oma's Thanksgiving stuffing.

How to Make Golden Cornbread


  1. Preheat oven to 425.
  2. In a large bowl, combine corn meal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add milk, egg an oil. Beat until fairly smooth about 1 minute.
  3. Bake in greased or sprayed 8 inch square baking pan 20 to 23 minutes or until wooden pick insert in center comes out clean.
