These simple, quick cinnamon spiked peachy muffins are perfect warm with a bit of real whipped cream!

Ingredients For spiced peach muffins

  • 1/3 c
    butter, room temp
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1/3 c
    water
  • 1/4 tsp
    almond extract
  • 1 c
    fresh peaches, peeled and chopped
  • 1 2/3 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    almonds or walnuts (optional)

How To Make spiced peach muffins

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, ~1 minute. Beat in eggs, water, and almond extract. Stir in peaches.

    Combine flour, baking powder, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add to wet mix. Beat to thoroughly combine.

    Pour roughly 2/3 full into paper lined standard muffin cups. Divide and top with brown sugar (and nuts if you are using them).

    Bake 18 minutes or until just golden brown and slightly springy to the touch. Serve warm or cool on wire racks and serve room temp.
