YUM!! Who doesn't love tacos? This is a cute twist for a taco. Does great for potlucks and goes very quickly. Very easy to make. Enjoy!

Ingredients For festive taco cups

  • 1 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 1/2 c
    chopped onion
  • 1/2 lb
    ground turkey or ground beef
  • 1 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp
    dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp
    chili powder or taco seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/4 c
    shredded taco cheese blend or mexican blend, divided
  • 1 can
    refrigerated breadstick dough (11 1/2 ounce can)
  • chopped fresh tomato and sliced green onion (optional)

How To Make festive taco cups

    Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, cook and stir until tender. Add your turkey or ground beef and cook until no longer pink, stirring to break up meat. Stir in garlic, oregano, chili seasoning or taco seasoning and salt. Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 cup cheese. Set aside.

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease 36 mini (1 3/4-inch) muffin cups. Remove dough from container but do not unroll dough. Separate dough into 8 pieces at perforations. Divide each piece into 3 pieces, roll or pat each piece into 3-inch circle. Press circles into prepared muffin cups.

    Fill each cup with 1 1/2 or 2 teaspoons of meat mixture. Bake 10 minutes. Sprinkle tops of taco cups with remaining 3/4 cup cheese. Bake 2 to 3 more minutes or until cheese is melted. Garnish with tomato and green onions, if desired.
