Eggnog Cinnamon Swirl Bread

This is a wonderful Christmas bread and it never lasts long so you might want to make 2 if you have a crowd.

1/4 c
toffee pieces (not chocolate covered)
1/4 c
chopped pecans
3 Tbsp
butter, melted
1 tsp
ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp
ground nutmeg


2 c
3/4 c
2 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
baking soda
3/4 tsp
ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp
1 c
prepared eggnog
1/4 c
vegetable oil
eggs, lightly beaten
1 tsp
vanilla extract

How to Make Eggnog Cinnamon Swirl Bread


  • 1Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

    In a small bowl, combine the cinnamon swirl ingredients and mix well.

    Set aside.
  • 2In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
  • 3In a medium bowl, combine the egg nog, oil, eggs and vanilla.

    Beat with a fork to combine.
  • 4Stir the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until just smooth but don't overdo it.
  • 5Pour half the batter into a greased loaf pan (8 x 4 x 2).

    Spoon half the cinnamon swirl mixture over the batter, and cut through with a knife to swirl.
  • 6Top with the remaining batter.

    Spoon on the remaining swirl mixture, and swirl with a knife.
  • 7Bake for 60-65 minutes or until whatever you stick in the middle comes out clean.

    Cool for 10 minutes in the pan before removing to a wire rack.
