I love fresh herbs. I came across some fresh organic dill for $1.29 for a huge bunch. I bought one and made my entire Father's Day meal with fresh dill in everything. No complaints! These rolls are amazing, and they smell as good as they taste.

  • 1/2 md
    onion, diced
  • 2 - 3 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp
    sea salt

How To Make mozzarella dill rolls

  • 1
Combine the yeast, sugar, and warm water in a small mixing bowl. Set aside for ten minutes at room temperature to allow the yeast to be proven. You should see bubbles forming at the surface.
  • 2
Whisk the bread flour and salt in the bowl of an electric mixer.
  • 3
Attach the dough hook and slowly add the yeast mixture to the flour.
  • 4
Then add in this order while the dough hook is slowly turning - milk, mozzarella cheese, egg, and 1 Tbsp of melted butter.
  • 5
    Add 2 Tbsp of dill.
  • 6
Add the onion and garlic. Mix on medium speed for 7 minutes. The dough should release from the side of the bowl and come together. Knead the dough lightly with your hands.
  • 7
Transfer the dough to a lightly greased bowl. Cover with plastic wrap or a towel. Place in a warm place to rise for 20 minutes.
  • 8
Roll into balls. Place on a cookie sheet and allow the dough to rise in a warm place for 20 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • 9
While the bread is rising, stir 2 Tbsp of dill into the remaining 8 Tbsp of melted butter. Set aside.
  • 10
Brush the bread with the dill butter.
  • 11
Sprinkle the rolls with sea salt.
  • 12
Bake in the preheated oven for 15 - 20 minutes, basting the rolls a few times with the dill butter during the baking process.
