Bakers sometime refer to beer as liquid bread because the yeast to make bread is the same yeast used to make beer.

flour
1 Tbsp
baking powder
1 tsp
salt
2 Tbsp
sugar
1 can(s)
(12 oz) beer
1/4 c
butter, melted

How to Make Beer Bread

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 375F.

    Butter loaf pan
  • 2Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.

    Add beer and melted butter to flour mixture and stir until well combined.
  • 3The batter will be sticky.

    Pour into prepared loaf pan.

    Bake for 45 minutes until golden brown and a pick inserted intom the center comes out clean.
  • 4Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove to wire rack to completely cool.
