- Flour 4-slices of bacon before frying (serves 2-people). This keeps spatter to minimum and creates nice crust on bacon. Add 1/4-cup flour to bacon drippings; add the pepper and salt to flour mixture stirring quickly; do not burn roux; add milk stirring briskly creating a wonderful bacon gravy; add milk to desired consistency; cook on low stirring frequently until completing next step.
