Biscuits weren't really my "thing" until I tried using wheat flour. Now I really like to make them for special meals. I hope you enjoy them!

  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 c
    whole wheat flour
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2 c
  • 3 Tbsp
    canola oil

How to Make Whole Wheat Biscuits


  1. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt, mix well.
  2. Combine milk and oil: stir into dry ingredients just until moistened.
  3. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface, and knead 3 or 4 times.
  4. Roll dough to 1/2" thick; cut with a 2 1/2" biscuit cutter.
  5. Place on a ungreased baking sheet.
  6. Bake at 400 for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
