country apple biscuits

I have had this recipe for awhile but not sure where I got it. I tried it for the first time this morning for breakfast so I am sharing a picture. They were easy and tasted delicious. My husband loved them.

Ingredients For country apple biscuits

  • 1 1/2 c
    chopped, peeled apples
  • 1
    (10 oz) can flaky biscuits
  • 1 Tbsp
    margarine, softened
  • 1/3 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/4 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/3 c
    light corn syrup
  • 1 lg
    egg
  • 1/2 c
    chopped pecans
  • GLAZE:
  • 1/3 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1-2 teaspoons milk
  • 1/4 tsp
    milk

How To Make country apple biscuits

    Generously grease bottom and sides of a 9 inch round cake pan with butter. Spread 1 cup chopped, peeled apples in bottom. Seperate 1 can flaky biscuits into 10 biscuits, cutting each into 4 pieces. Arrange over apples, pointed sides up. Top with another 1/2 cup apples. In a small bowl, combine margarine, brown sugar, cinnamon, light corn syrup, and egg. Beat until sugar dissolves. Stir in 1/2 cup pecan pieces. Spoon over biscuits and apples. Bake in a 350* oven for 35-45 minutes or until deep golden brown. Cool 5 minutes before topping with glaze.

    For glaze: Mix ingredients and drizzle over warm biscuits.
