3 ounces bittersweet chocolate (60% to 70% cacao), in 3 hunks
2 cups whole milk
1/2cup granulated sugar
1/4cup cornstarch
4 large egg yolks
1 tablespoon amber rum
1 cup heavy cream, chilled
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 large bananas
1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar
