Ingredients For smoky grilled guacamole

  • 4 lg
    ripe haas avocados
  • 1 lg
    poblano pepper, cut in half and seeds and pulp removed
  • 1 md
    ripe tomato, cut in half and seeds and liquid squeezed out
  • Dash
    cooking oil spray
  • 1 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 3 Tbsp
    minced red onion
  • 2 tsp
    cayenne pepper sauce
  • 2 tsp
    smoked paprika
  • 2 Tbsp
    lime juice
  • 1 tsp
    cumin
  • Salt
    to taste
  • Pepper
    to taste

How To Make smoky grilled guacamole

    Cut avocados in half lengthwise and remove seed. Lightly spray cut sides of avocado halves with oil. Lightly spray poblano pepper halves and tomato halves with oil.

    Place avocado halves, pepper halves and tomato halves cut side down on a hot grill. Grill for 2 to 3 minutes, until dark grill marks appear. Remove avocado halves from grill. Turn pepper halves and tomato halves over and grill an additional 2 to 3 minutes, until dark grill marks appear.

    Remove pepper halves and tomato halves from grill and cool to room temperature. Remove flesh from avocado halves and smash with a fork in a medium mixing bowl. Mince the pepper halves and tomato halves and add to bowl.

    Stir into bowl all remaining ingredients. Let stand for 20 minutes for flavors to blend. Stir again and serve with chips
