This tasty recipe can be served as a hors d'oeuvre when you host a soirée or as a fast healthy meal... it all depends on which food vessel you'll be using!

  • 1 can(s)
    (5 oz.) tuna, drained and flaked
  • 3 Tbsp
    miracle whip®
  • 1 tsp
    dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp
    fresh chopped dill
  • 1 tsp
    freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp
    hot sauce such as cholula®, or to taste
  • ·
    freshly ground black pepper, to taste (i always use mixed peppercorns)
  • 1 pinch
    ground himalayan sea salt
  • 2 tsp
    green onions, finely chopped
  • 1/8 tsp
    cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 medium
    dinner rolls, sliced
  • 1/4 c
    sharp cheddar cheese, grated

How to Make Tuna Melt


  1. Heat oven to broil and arrange a rack 6-inch from heating element.
  2. In a bowl, combine all the ingredients. Spoon tuna mixture on top of 4 bread pieces; top with cheese. Place them on a baking sheet and broil triangles until cheese is JUST melted, 5 minutes. Serve garnished with chives.
