Try using pork, chicken thighs, tofu, shrimp or for a vegetable treat use zucchini, eggplant or mushrooms... or just experiment yourself. My family loves these!

Ingredients For sweet & spicy asian chicken won tons

  • SLAW
  • 1/2 c
    shredded or sliced thin carrots
  • 2 c
    thinly shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 c
    chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 c
    chopped green onion
  • 1/4 tsp
    sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp
    ginger
  • 2 dash
    white pepper
  • 1/2 c
    rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp
    soy sauce
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • CHICKEN
  • 2
    chicken breasts
  • 1/4 c
    cilantro
  • 1/4 tsp
    white pepper
  • 2 Tbsp
    sambal chili
  • 1
    chopped jalapeño
  • 1/4 c
    soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp
    ginger
  • 2 Tbsp
    minced garlic
  • SAUCE
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    sambal chili
  • WON TONS
  • 1 pkg
    wonton wrappers (not eggroll)
  • oil to fry

    Mix vinegar and sugar until dissolved. Add the rest of the slaw ingredients and mix together then let sit overnight, several hours ...minimum 2 hours

    Cut chicken into tiny cubes, add all chicken ingredients and toss. Let sit about 30 mins

    Mix all sauce ingredients, cook on medium until it boils and sugar dissolves...set aside.

    Cook chicken until all liquid reduces.

    Pour in sauce and stir over heat for a couple mins. Set chicken aside.

    Fold room temp wonton wrappers corner to corner to form triangle. Fry in oil until golden brown and crispy. Set aside to drain and cool.

    Place chicken on wonton triangle, then top with your slaw. Serve, eat & enjoy!!!
