My mom made "Ham Salad" for us as kids. I never knew that it didn't contain any ham. She would have the butcher grind up the ends of the bologna and mix it with pickle relish and mayonnaise. I make ham salad for my family and friends and it actually has ham in it. Hey mom had to cut corners wherever she could feeding 7 hungry kids and a husband.
