Blue Ribbon Recipe
These ham puffs are a great appetizer or even a tasty addition to a brunch menu. The Dijon mustard and onion gives them a punch of flavor but not overpowering. Buttery, flaky crescent bread provides the base to a slightly puffy ham and cheese filling. A fantastic way to use leftover holiday ham. We were able to fill 24 mini muffin cups with the ingredients. Delicate and fluffy, these tasty little bites are surprisingly satisfying.
Note: If you can find Pillsbury crescent dough sheets those are perfect for this recipe. Also, the texture of these is not like a quiche. The egg just holds the ingredients together and gets slightly puffy inside the crescent dough.
