2 cbread flour or all purpose
1/2 csour cream
1 1/2 cbuttermilk
1/2 cbeer (optional) if you omit increase buttermilk this amount)
3granny smith apples
·vegetable or canola oil for frying
How to Make Apple Rings
- In a medium bowl combine flour, salt, sour cream, buttermilk and beer. Whisk until smooth.
- Wash and core apples( I didn't use a corer I used a small shot glass after I sliced the apples)Slice apples about 1/4 inch thick. Pat dry with paper towel.
- Place a few rings at a time in batter, coat well. Place in heated oil and fry each side until golden. Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt
