baked brie with warm syrup

This is a well-known recipe, but here is my way of serving it. Adding sliced almonds to the warm syrup really adds a nice touch. This recipe is inspired by my stepmom who would serve it warmed and unwrapped with the syrup and almonds. I had it somewhere else where it was pastry wrapped, but with no syrup, so I combined the two recipes.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

The best word we could come up for this baked Brie recipe is divine. Real maple syrup makes this pastry sing by creating a glaze and giving the flaky crust some sweetness. Serve it with fruit or crackers. It's an easy Hors d'oeuvre and very impressive when served. Don't like almonds or are allergic to nuts? Leave them out. The warm maple syrup alone over the Brie will still be fantastic.
