This is one of my favorite dips for parties. It is a definite at my house for Super bowl. I've been making this for over 10 years. It is a hit at every party I throw.We all love cheese and chili in my home. This is a very simple recipe to make. You can also make this in the crock pot. Enjoy all!!!

Ingredients For south west cheesy chili dip

  • 16 oz
    can of re-fried beans
  • 2 box
    or 16 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 c
    favorite salsa (16 ounces)
  • 2 can
    hormel chili with beans (16 ounces)
  • 1 lb
    packaged grated mexican cheese 12-16 ounces
  • 1 bunch
    chopped green onion
  • OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS TO ADD
  • 1
    jalapeno pepper diced optional
  • 1/4 c
    sliced black olives optional

How To Make south west cheesy chili dip

    Get a 13x9 pan, or a 9x9 for deep dish dip. Spread the Re-fried beans on the bottom of the pan.

    Soften cream cheese and spread on top of the re-fried beans.

    spread chili on top of cream cheese
  • 4
    Spread salsa on top of chili,and top with shredded cheese.Bake in oven at 350 degree's until hot and cheese is melted. Should take 30-45 minutes.

    Remove from oven and top with chopped green onion. Optional add ins -chopped Jalapeno pepper and black olives on the top of Mexican cheese. Serve with tortilla chips.
