At my house this year we wont be having a big Christmas dinner. So we will celebrate with a big Christmas morning breakfast and this will be the star.

Ingredients For egg and bacon strata

4 cupscubed hearty white bread

2 cupscheddar cheese, shredded

1/2 cupfinely chopped onion

8large eggs
-
3/4 cuphalf and half
-
2 tspdijon mustard

salt and pepper

6slices thick cut bacon, cooked and crumbled
How To Make egg and bacon strata

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 13x9 casserole dish

2In a large bowl toss bread, chesse and onion together, then arrange evenly in casserole dish. In this same bowl combine all remaining ingredients except bacon and pour over bread.

3Sprinkle with bacon. Bake until knife inserted in center comes out clean...about 25 minutes. Serve hot.
