How to Make Spaetzle
- Lightly beat eggs. Add water. Mix dry ingredients together and combine with eggs and water.
- Drop small bits of dough from the end of a teaspoon into boiling salted water. Do not crowd. You may have to do a couple of batches. Once they rise to the surface (almost immediately), cook for an additional 1-2 minutes. Drain.
- This next step is optional. I melt butter in a skillet and pan fry until lightly browned on each side. If you prefer, you can serve them straight from the boiling water.
