I prayed that God would give me a husband that loves to cook and He did! I am not the cook in the family, so if you want to wow friends with this cake then I'm breaking the silence. It has been told down here as the Secret cake for everyone thinks it takes hours to make it. It is so top secret that I had to beg it out of my sister...Baby don't laugh that I am on this site with the real bakers!

How to Make Southern Secret Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. You take one box of Devil Food chocolate box mix and following their directions. You need two round pans to make this cake the best. You let the cakes cool.
  2. Once the cakes are cooled then put the Cool Whip icing and put it between both round cakes and then add it all over the cake. You can put crushed almonds on top or leave plain. You then put in back in the fridge until serving time. This cake is suppose to be eaten cold. Any left overs then put it back in the fridge.
  3. This is probably now on the box for that is what happens when you have 4 kids(twins). It has been served in Georgia for a long time and kept secret for a long time. Everyone thinks it is cake that took hours to make. My husband and I just make the frosting just to grab a bite of it when you need that sweet tooth fix.
