Was looking for a good dinner on my only night off in 7 days, so I bought a ham, once home I thought about glazing it. this is what I came up with.

Ingredients

  • 1
    ham, with bone (spiral or not)
  • 1 2/3 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 3/4 c
    root beer (i used faygo)
  • 1/2 tsp
    freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 c
    water in the bottom of pan

How to Make Heavenly Glazed Ham

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix the brown sugar with the root beer. Put your ham in a baking dish and spoon half over the ham. Bake at 325 for an hour to 1 1/2 hours, glazing it again after the first half hour. Carve and serve with juices to ladle over the meat. I served it with scalloped potatoes and fresh corn on the cob.
