Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    asparagus
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    instant chicken bouillon
  • 1 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp
    cold water
  • 2 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 1.5 c
    fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/8 tsp
    freshly ground black pepper

How to Make Stir Fried Asparagus

Step-by-Step

  1. Cut asparagus into 1" pieces and steam lightly.
  2. Mix 1/2 cup water and the dry bouillon; reserve.
  3. Mix cornstarch and 1 tablespoon water; reserve.
  4. Heat oil in wok or 12 inch skillet over medium heat.
  5. Add asparagus, mushrooms, salt and pepper.
  6. Stir fry about 1 minute.
  7. Stir in bouillon mixture and heat to boiling. Stir in cornstarch mixture.
  8. Cook and stir until thickened, about 10 seconds.
  9. Serve as a side dish or entree.
