    ground beef
  • 1 lg
    onion, chopped
  • 1
    garlic clove, crushed
  • 16 oz
    tomato sauce
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/8 tsp
    pepper
  • 3 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1 c
    water

How to Make Speedy Chili

Step-by-Step

    Combine first 3 ingredients in a dutch oven; cook until beef is browned, stirring to crumble.

    Drain off drippings.
  3. 3
    Add remaining ingredients; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Microwave Directions: Combine first 3 ingredients in a 2-quart casserole.

    Cover with heavy-duty plastic wrap, and microwave at high for 5 to 6 minutes or until meat is browned, stirring once.

    Drain off drippings.

    Add remaining ingredients; cover and microwave at high for 10 to 12 minutes or to desired consistency, stirring after 6 minutes.
